Így a Sziget előtt még megjelent az új AMB szingöl, hogy mindenki kedvére vadítsa vagy altassa vele a fesztiváltömeget. Az eredeti finom dallamful minimálját vették kezelésbe atlantai barátaink: Phil K and Habersham. Mivel remixükkel véletlenül sem próbálták a könnyedség látszatát kelteni, ezért nagyrészt dallamtalanították, bár épp csak annyira, hogy fel lehessen ismerni, hogy azért mégiscsak remixet készítettek. Kattogós minimáljukat ellensúlyozza a HongKong-ba szakadt angol Dan F, aki kicsit elmebeteg, teknóba hajló verziójával, szénné torzított basszusával egyensúlyoz a dallamosság és a vicsorgás között. Myroslaw Bytz egy ukrán csóka, aki Amerikában él és készíti kellemes ambientbe hajló zenéit. Kevin 3 évvel ezelőtt egy kaliforniai kiadó felkérésére remixelte Myron "Amfuem" című cselló-minimálját. Peyote Road remixes

Kevin Ghetto Fabulous remixe után boltokban Elite Force RE:Vision sorozatának új darabja, amire AMB dolgozta újra Shack Peyote Road című tánczenéjét, kicsit másféle tánczenévé. Megint lusták vagyunk fordítani, szóval tessék a sajtóanyag angolul:

The audio gems from the Elite Force archive keep on coming with this the latest chapter in the ongoing remix project from U&A recordings. 'Peyote Road' has always been a firm favourite with the Elite Force faithful and now gets it's 2008 update courtesy of much lauded label mate Hyperion and the uber talented Hungarian producer Amb.
The Hyperion mix has already found favour with the likes of Sasha, who included it in his season-opening set at Space in Ibiza last weekend. Their 'Sun of Cactus mix', is a remarkable slab of timeless house music, reminiscent of the likes of Underworld, with a warm, fuzzed out & thoroughly euphoric breakdown to compliment the thumping Infusion-like beats of this classy remix ... no small wonder that the BIG guns are all over this one.
Next up is Hungary's uber-talented Amb, who also throws down an awesome reworking. One of the most talented producers around at the moment & fresh from some serious action on EQ Grey it's not hard to see why he has such a legion of admirers for his seamless, melodic, progressive-styled house vibes. For good measure, the hugely respected original mix (as featured on James Zabiela's 'Alive' compilation for Renaissance) from 2004 is here too, as it appeared on the Kingsize label at the time.

Elite Force: Ghetto Fabulous (Fine Cut Bodies remix)

Kevin odatevős house remixe amit Elite Force örökzöld Ghetto Fabulous-ára készített már kapható az intertérben, exkluzívan a Beatport oldalán... Kicsit ellazáznánk a kiadó (U+A) sajtóanyagának lefordítását és csak egyszerűen idepasztázzuk az angol szöveget:

Hot on the heels of the recent re-workings of 'Melodik Hypnotik', Elite Force returns with the next installment of the Revision remix project, a concept that sees classic records from his catalogue remixed by some of the hottest producers of the moment. The recording under deconstruction this time is the timeless 'Ghetto Fabulous' which was setting dancefloors alight in 2005 when the original was released on Kingsize Records.

The first of the 2 mixes comes from Dopamine, whose previous remixes for the likes of John Acquaviva, Alex Metric and Dan F have both maintained him a firm favourite of the breaks scene, and have given him a much broader appeal. Here he takes the original track and breathes new life into it with a simple rolling arrangement that retains much of the character of the original with added smackdown. The second of the mixes comes from Hungary's oft underrated production genius and DJ extraordinaire, Fine Cut Bodies, who takes things down a twisting house avenue, turning in a slow building track that rises in intensity whilst holding a tight hypnotic glam-groove. Both producers have excelled themselves on these mixes, and DJ support has been huge.

Itt a második kollaboráció Kevin és Chris háza tájáról. Tavalyi közös megjelenésük (Frogmarch) a hónap techno lemeze lett az IDJ Magazinban, de most törtebb ütemekre eveztek, a Fiddlestick a kevésbé odatevős breakbeat szerelmeseit veszi célkeresztbe. Hogy a house és minimál világa is képviselve legyen a maxin, 3 további újragondolás is színesíti a kiadványt: kaptunk egy szétcsavart Habersham remixet, egy vicces Modul verziót, illetve Kevin is meglapogatta és techHouse köntösbe öltöztette a Fiddlesticks témáit. Elsőnek egy gondosan megmunkált és precízen kivitelezett house trekk a szintén Londonban élő iráni énekes, Omid Pajooh közreműködésével. Kedves és finom, triolákkal megtűzdelt zene, kellemes dallamokkal és egy erősen fülbemászó énekmotívummal, ami óvatosan a szürkeállományig hatol és ott fejti ki hatásat.

- AMB: Urchin

A megfejthetetlen kínai szöveg már a kezdésnél érdekes hangulatot teremt. Kicsit nehéz lenne behatárolni a műfajt, de a szám kb. feléig bizonyosan house, utána meg valahogy elromlik és egy elfajult, világvégi dub-ba torkollik.

- AMB: Theory

GlitchHop a javábol - kövér és húzós basszus, álomszerű, lüktető dallamok, és kisebb-nagyobb rendszerhibák mindenfelé a hip-hop térben. A 'Theory' a hullámzó, belazult West Coast hangulatát idézi, a kiállásban pedig kicsit a távolkelet felé veszi az útirányt.

A Cup Of Chi a kiadónak az a sorozata, amire mindig 3 különböző műfajú zenét válogatunk össze. A 11-ik kiadványon 5 magyar zenész keze nyoma is ott van, hisz a hazai dubstep körökben jól ismert DST mellett a Bitlab kiadó egyik feje Cooler, illetve a Chi-re már évekkel ezelőtt is zenéket készítő Asthring és Franklin Deluxe is hozzájárult a kiadványhoz, kiegészülve NoeNoe-val. AMB hírek, megjelenések

A legfrissebb, múlt héten megjelent Audio Therapy DJmix-en nem kevesebb mint három AMB zene található - mindegyik a Dave Seaman által irányitott labelen jelent meg tavaly.

AMB új kétszámos EP-je (Minifunk / Picker) március 10-én jelenik meg az EQ Grey ausztrál kiadón, ami leginkább a legendás Balance szériájáról híresült el és olyan nevek köthetők hozzá mint James Holden, John Digweed, Chris Lake, Phil K, vagy Meat Katie.

Elite Force "Peyote Road" c. számának remixe már döngethető a MySpace-én - megjelenés a U&A-on májusban.

Miután elkészült Elite Force Ghetto Fabulous-ából csavart house újragondolása, illetve Jason Sparks Oublie Moi című számából készült dubstep remixe, két magyar csapat zenéit formázza rádióbarátságtalanabbá Kevin. Készül a "nem, mi nem vagyunk hiphopzenekar" szlogenje ellenére hip-hop kategóriában Fonogram díjat nyert Belga "Cowboy"-ának, illetve a Péterfy Bori Love Band "Hello Modern Design"-jának széttrancsírozása is...

Saját megjelenései ügyében pedig olyan hírek keringnek, hogy közös country készült az Erik Sumo név mögé rejtőző Tövisházi Ambrussal, illetve Huncut Hacuka című house remekje március 6-i megjelenése előtt már olyan neves és névtelen djk cdboxában dorombol, mint a Simian Mobile Disco, Peter Kruder, Dark Globe, vagy Mike Monday... A megjelenésen lesz még egy remix a chicago-i tecHouse májsztró Mazi (Audio Soul Project) tálalásában, ceglédi bitmágusunk Kodek is odatett egy keményebb technoid remixet, illetve extraként még egy hangminta csomag is letölthető lesz, hogy ki-ki saját ízlésére formálhassa a Hacukát.
